Salmon-pink in appearance, the 2013 Rosato is very approachable, with the fresh, crisp and fruity qualities of a good white wine, yet the mouth feel and structure more expected of a red wine. Aromas of fresh strawberry, watermelon and bright red cherry are the lead-in to a wine with superb balance between fruit and acidity. This Rosato pairs with nearly all dishes, but some of our favorites remain sushi, paella, roast chicken and most seafood.

Vineyard Notes All fruit for the 2013 Swanson Napa Valley Rosato (Rosé of Sangiovese) was grown in one small block at the Antica Vineyard in the Atlas Peak appellation, where rocky, alluvial soils keep the vines small and the fruit concentrated in flavor and aroma.
