With Founding Vintner Katie Hamilton Shaffer’s winery having been acquired last November (Toolbox Wine Co.), she couldn’t help but get back into Wine Making! Sourcing grapes from her friend and grower Paul Maroon, Katie’s goal was to make a memorable wine called FEAST – and we think it over delivers! With only 200 cases produced FEAST exudes nice fruit aromas, a rich mid-palate and well-balanced acidity with a medium length finish – a style Katie is proud to achieve. This boutique wine displays ample berry fruit and toasty vanilla notes which were achieved from the different oak selections. On the back finish you’ll find chocolate and hints of cassis, playing well with the rich berry structure. With the nice balanced acidity FEAST should age gracefully for the next 4+ years. This 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was blended from a selection of French and American oak lots, adding a small 5% of Cabernet Franc for a richer backbone and finish, and well-balanced texture… RAISE a glass and Feast it Forward!
