The 2010 Sol Rouge Lake County Cabernet Sauvignon is made exclusively from mountain Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. Mountain fruit, grown at high elevations ranging from 1800’ to 3000’ elevation, produce small berries with thick skins adding to the complexity and structure of the wine, qualities very desirable for an exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits the classic aromas of cassis, licorice, and chocolate with a slight hint of vanilla toast from the French oak. It is rich and full-bodied with sweet tannins, a multi-layered mid-palate of dark red and black berries, and a long finish with hints of green pepper. This wine will cellar well over the next 10-12+ years.
