This 2012 Zinfandel comes from 22 year old vines on the North East slope of Howell Mountain on a 700 foot elevation bench. This wine shows bright fruit aromas, intertwined with spicy berry and floral notes.

On the palate the wine is full bodied with a big mid-palate and a vibrant finish. The wine was aged in 25% New Hungarian oak barrels for 20 months, the spicy tones from the oak are well integrated and a nice counterpoint to the fruit characteristics.
