From one of the best vintages in recent history, this dark red wine is a fascinating blend of classic Bordeaux varietals joined by a significant portion of Syrah.

On the nose, the wine offers abundant aromas of ripe black cherries and raspberry along with whiffs of white pepper and dusty sage. Flavors of blackberries, boysenberries and plum follow, coating the palate with rich, red fruit.

Deftly oaked in a combination of new and seasoned barrels, the wine displays toasted coconut with hints of vanilla and clove. The wine is fruit-driven, but derives complexity from the small percentage of Cabernet Franc which adds hints of tea, graphite and savory herb.

Silky tannins bring the wine to a finish with bright fruit lingering on the lush palate.
