Winemaker Daniel Benton’s emphasis on balance and elegance is showcased in this lovely, Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Its Bordeaux heritage is evident in the finesse and finish. While eminently drinkable now, it has the structure to be aged for as long as you can stand to wait.

This wine opens with rich aromas of dark fruit, cigar box, and licorice. The palate offers a mouth-coating texture and a wonderful progression of flavors from berry fruit to tobacco to dark chocolate, culminating in an extraordinarily long finish reminiscent of chocolate covered graham cracker with hints of vanilla and toasted oak.

This wine has incredible complexity and body. The finish is long with lingering spice and silkiness. The tannins are firm but elegant.

The 2013 is beautiful now and has the finesse to age for years. We recommend decanting this wine prior to enjoying.

Vineyard Notes

The 2014 CROZE Cabernet Sauvignon was produced using grapes from the famed Money Road Vineyard in Oakville. This area is home to some of the most sought after Cabernet’s in the Napa Valley.

This wine follows the Croze philosophy of balance and elegance. Here is a wine with its roots deep in the cult growing area of Oakville, and its pedigree is long. These grapes are organically farmed in one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Oakville AVA. The Money Road Vineyard is known for producing some of the valley’s greatest cabernets.

Money Road Vineyard is located in Oakville AVA off Oakville Crossroad and across the road from Silver Oak Winery. This vineyard is owned and farmed by the Laird Family, from whom we got our wonderful 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon. We are excited to have Laird grapes, once again.
