Our Foley Johnson Chardonnay features fruit from our premier estate vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills, an appellation known for producing world-class chardonnay. The wines have that rare combination of power and structure that can only come from low yielding, cool-climate, coastal vineyards.
Crisp and minerally, this 2012 offers a bouquet of crème brulee and lemon meringue pie, with aromas and flavors of lime, citrus and green apple. The palate shows great complexity, layered with flavors of coconut, Panna Cotta, fresh nutmeg and vanilla wafer that linger on the finish.
There is a nice mineral backbone to this delicate wine, it pairs perfectly with a wide array of dishes including fresh fish, grilled chicken and salads.
