A limited-production estate wine made solely from our Lone Oak Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. It is prized for its silky flavors and textures.

This wine immediately offers overt cherry and raspberry aromas that build over a base of wild game, dried mushrooms, cinnamon, and caramelized dark fruit. The mouthfeel is softly full and silky, with a slight edge of acidity of candied orange peels that melds beautifully with the allspice-laden finish.

Pairs well with roast beef, moussaka, or grilled Portabella mushrooms.

The Vineyard

At the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands, the Lone Oak Vineyard’s 20 acres of Pinot Noir experience the strongest maritime influence of all of Hahn’s vineyards and the coolest growing season. Winds are lighter at Lone Oak than further south, and fog burns off later in the day. The gentle slopes face east, catching the early morning sun. The site’s ancient Chualar loam soils are rocky, assuring excellent drainage.

This unique terroir leads to nuanced aromas of dried mushrooms, ripe cherry and raspberry with hints of wild game and spice.
