Made from Loire Valley clones, this wine is barrel fermented and light straw in color, this is a complex Sauvignon Blanc with restraint on the nose. Aromas of beeswax, lemon curd, pineapple, gooseberry and fennel lead to a palate that is long and powerful.

A full generous mouthfeel from barrel fermentation with green apple zing linger on the back palate. 10% malolactic fermentation contributes a creamy and textural element.

Tension-filled with a chalky nature, tropical and stone fruits are interwoven throughout the palate. This wine finishes dry with long driving fruit-laden acidity.

Vineyard Notes

Sourced primarily from clones 376 and 530, the vines grow in the centre of the Greystone vineyard on deep, silty-loam soils. A long Indian summer encouraged perfect ripening conditions and fruit was picked with beautiful acidity. Small open bunches ensured clean ripe fruit went to the winery.
