Dark brooding fruit show hints of violets and spice. As the wine ages and embraces the oak, the fruit and spice will come to the front. The dark cherry flavor and fat fruit mid pallet show some masculine edges that will make this wine long lived in the bottle.
Vineyard Notes
Chris Bowland started his farming career growing great Pinot noir in the Russian River Valley, so when he planted the varietal in cool Bennett Valley we knew he was on to something. 3 distinct blocks of Pommard are picked together at different sugars and co- fermented. The result is a natural field blend that represents the whole vineyards unique character. Chris’ attention to detail makes this the perfect match with our philosophy.
