From the 2012 vintage, intensely flavored Grenache, full of vibrant color, allowed the making of an elegantly balanced, rich wine, possessed of all the classic characters of dark cherry fruit, red berry and spice and a subtle savory finish.

Deep purple with a vibrant red rim and a lifted floral bouquet with dark cherry and red berry fruits combined with baking spice, aniseed and hints of dried herb.

This flavorsome wine packing an intense palate displays seductive fruit sweetness with subtle red licorice, meaty and earthy notes. Supple tannins provide structure and balance leading to a wine with exceptional length and generosity

Vineyard Notes

Careful canopy management of an exclusive 1.9 acre site on shallow soils, results in low yields of highly concentrated fruit. With two vines per panel, planted almost together and crossed deliberately at the first wire, vigor is contained and concentration enhanced.

Sourced from ancient, pre-clonal Grenache reared to the north of the Vales, the plot is almost dry grown.
