Tasting Notes

Rich with sweet, ripe tannins, expanding to a greater breadth of refined textures. The flavor profile includes dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, mocha, leather, brown spice, cedar, vanilla and sweet licorice. The stand out qualities of this wine are its balance, supple texture, approachable grip and earthly notes.

Vintage Notes

Our 2011 vintage required patience, but it was worth it. We experienced one-third more rainfall than normal that year, which lasted into June and was followed by a cool summer. The effect was a slow growing season that culminated with one of the latest harvests on record.

Winegrowing Notes

13 days of fermentation. Aged 36 months in 100% French oak barrels–18 months in new French oak and 18 months in once-used French oak.
