Tasting Notes
Cabernet made in the “old world style”, the way it used to be made back in the 50’s and 60’s. This wine is well structured and firm with aromas and flavors of violets, light Eucalyptus, hints of mint and the smell of dust after a fresh rain.
Winemaker’s Notes
Produced from the vineyards located in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County. The granite soils of Amador County are well suited to producing distinctive, earthy, full bodied Zinfandels that have a wonderful character all to themselves. 2013 is a drought vintage which produces lower yields of smaller more extractive fruit.
