Tasting Notes

The deep purple color of this Petite Sirah offers a hint to the richness and concentration that follows. Aromas of freshly baked blackberry pie, dried flowers and white pepper. The palate is big and rich with tannins that you can chew on.

Winemaking

Hand harvested in the cool morning hours, the fruit is cold soaked for three days. During fermentation, temperature and extraction are carefully managed. The wine is then pressed off the skins and placed in French oak barrels for aging.

Vineyard

The grapes for our Clif Family Winery Petite Sirah are sourced from the Gobbler Grove vineyard planted in 2006 in the Eastern Hillside of the Napa Valley Appellation at 1200 ft elevation.
