Mission Codename Cast a spell
Welcome to another Super Spy Sunday! Each Sunday we endeavor to bring you a luxury-level wine at a price that’s darn near impossible to pass up!
Boy were we lucky when we were offered today’s wine. As soon as we tasted it, we immediately begged the winery for every case that we could get our hands on. Our Operatives love a great Petite Sirah, and we know that today’s Cast Wines 2013 Cast Wines 2013 Grey Palm Vineyard Petite Sirah will be an instant hit.
Abundant and dense on the nose with fragrant blackberry syrup, spiced plum, black cherry, blackberry pipe tobacco, black licorice, red licorice, soft spice, sweetwood and a hint of ground pepper. Every bit as rich and delicious as the nose heralds, with flavors of blackberry preserve, grilled cherry, black licorice, pomegranate, toasted oak, baker’s chocolate, dried fall leaves and a hint of flint.
Winemaker Mike Gulyash has crafted a delicious masterpiece in today’s wonderful wine and we hope that you have a chance to partake of the magic. Mike has made wines for Jordan Estate where he was a protégé of legendary winemakers André Tchelistcheff and Rob Davis, then B. R. Cohn Winery, Merry Edwards, and Zichichi Family Winery.
