Tasting Notes

The wine has cedar, eucalyptus, and plum aromas. It is full-bodied, with dense red fruit flavors of black currant, pomegranate, and Bing cherries. It is an expressive wine displaying great elegance and balance of fruit with refined oak flavors of vanilla and toast, a velvety texture, and tart red currant finish.

Harvest Notes

2013 was an amazing vintage with a near-perfect growing season in Napa Valley. Despite the second year of drought, there were outstanding weather conditions for bud break, flowering, and an even fruit set the stage for the summer. Summer was a long stretch of warm days and cool, often foggy nights. Harvest was a bit early in Mid-September and the vines were generous both with an intense crop and exceptional quality. One of the best vintages of the decade.
