This wine is named after, and is a tribute to, Charles Heintz’s grandparents who first settled Heintz Ranch in 1912. This is a blend of clones and field selections grown on the Heintz Estate.
Shows exotic floral aromas with nuances of mixed red fruits including dark cherry, raspberry and pomegranate. Hints of subtle baking spice notes with graphite and earthy nuances underneath the fruit. The palate starts out delicate but broadens out for a clean precise finish. It is a delicate and elegant Pinot Noir expression with depth, drinkability, and staying power in the glass. The oak is well integrated in support of the silky, seamless balance of the four clones. The wine will continue to improve over 5 years or more in the bottle.
