Vineyard

Gary and Kit’s love of Rhone wines began with their cycling adventures through Europe. The Bici Red Rhone blend was crafted to reflect the wines of this region with grapes grown in the North Coast of California. This wine is sourced from vineyards in the Yountville and Carneros regions of the Napa Valley.

Winemaking

Hand-harvested in the cool morning hours, the fruit is hand sorted before and after the destemmer. After a 3 day cold soak, the juice is inoculated with cultured yeast. During fermentation, temperature and extraction are carefully managed. The wine is then pressed off the skins and placed in French oak barrels for aging.

Tasting Notes

Black pepper shines through layers of blackberry pie, dried lavender and wet stone. The entry is a burst of peppery fruit flavors with a nice tannin balance, followed by more Grenache character on the mid-palate. The wine finishes with bright berry alongside a burst of acidity that will make this wine the perfect pairing to your early winter dishes.
