Vineyard The fruit for our Rte Blanc is sourced from two vineyards in the Napa Valley. The majority comes from a dry-farmed, 1.5 acre vineyard just north of downtown St. Helena. This site has been farmed by the Amendola family for over 30 years. In addition, we source from Yountmill Vineyards, a CCOF certified ranch on the valley floor in Yountville.
Winemaking Hand harvested in the cool morning hours, the fruit is whole cluster pressed into tank. The juice is cold settled for 48 hours before initiating fermentation with cultured yeast. Just after peak fermentation, the wine was put into both stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels. The wine is aged in these barrels with no malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes Lemon peel, orange blossom, jasmine, green apple, fresh peach. This wine is loaded with fruit on the entry, followed by a burst of mouthwatering acidity that expands the palate and resonates through to the finish. This vintage of Rte Blanc has exceptional balance and length.
