Calavera specializes in producing tempting, food-friendly Spanish Grenache from the Sierra Foothills of Calaveras County. The 2014 Grenache was harvested at a lower Brix level to maintain a beautifully focused mineral and acid balance.

Grown at 1400’ elevation in the Sierra Foothills, the 2014 Dalton Vineyard Calavera Grenache is an elegant, red fruit-driven wine.

The 2014 Calavera Grenache is a light-bodied wine with a long finish. It shows red raspberries, subtle strawberry and even pomegranate wrapped in white pepper and spice. There’s a hint of jasmine tea. This wine would pair perfectly with turkey, paella, roast chicken or pork shoulder.
