The dazzling acidity and lively mineral character of Hyde’s Robert Young selection are just as focused and present as in vintages past. But, from the second this wine hits your glass, it is clear that there is something unique about the 2014 Hyde Chardonnay. Aromas of fragrant lemon curd and quince abound, but the true character of this bottling shows on the palate, owing its uniqueness to the field conditions of the vintage and our team’s dedication to craft and restraint in the cellar. Extended hang time prior to harvest and longer élevage give this year’s Hyde a texture and breadth unmatched in past bottlings. As with each of our Chardonnays, this year’s model is best at room temperature, with a little air time. Treat this high-acid white like one of our Rhones, and you won’t be disappointed!
