The 2015 Woodruff Vineyard Chardonnay is from dry-farmed vines grown in fine-grained sand on a steeply terraced slope in the Santa Cruz mountains. Planted in 1946 these old vines produce a wine loaded with texture and complexity. Fermented and aged in very old French Oak barrels for seven months before being bottled without any fining and filtration this delicate wine will produce sediment as it ages.
