The Azur Reserve is made int he classic Bordeaux style balanced with the rich fruit offered by the Napa Valley terroir. The grapes are selectively chosen from the hillsides of Napa to highlight concentrated black fruits. Every bottle has a complex combination of blackberry and currant expressions with a refreshing brightness which leads to lingering tannins.

Julien Fayard strives to create a similar flavor profile each year for this wine regardless of varieties and blending compositions. Aromatically the Syrah shows more on this bouquet then perhaps the other two varieties – leather notes, blueberry, and darker fruit. The palate is all about darker fruit – with good acidity and broad-based tannins that linger for some time.
