This was the first premier vineyard that I was blessed to work with. My 2012 Pinot came from block 19, the very first vineyard that Morgado stepped foot in. The elevation is 1,300 feet with plenty of sun during the day with cool mornings and evenings to keep the acidity bright. The elite farming practices and viticulture expertise is above and beyond anything I could have hoped for, and it is reflected in the finished wine.

Dark, rich and intensely flavored, centered on a core of black licorice-infused blackberry and floral scents. Forest floor and umami are signature notes of many Sonoma Coast Pinot Noirs and this wine has this and more. Brambly berries and ripe figs fill your mouth with juicy fruit flavors and the silky textures elicit a salivary response from the first sip. It offers terrific acidity, plenty of fruit and a great finish.
