Mission Codename Pint Sized Perfection
The always popular PEJU is back!
Like previous offers from this blue-chip producer, this massively over-delivers at our price. Hot off the press 94 from Decanter, Primo Napa producer, mostly estate fruit from Rutherford… at this price?!
And this time around, it is packaged in the perfect ‘dinner for two’ bottle! Up your game and sneak one of these into the movie theatre, your kid’s soccer game, or your next picnic basket for date night.
For basically less than most sandwiches in Napa Valley, $25 gets you access to this big, bold beauty. That is 60% off!! Say whaaaat?!
Available NOWHERE else! Not at your local Costco, Total, BevMo, or even your most well-connected boutique corner shop. We cornered it, locked it down, and now it’s your duty to adopt at least a handful of these little power-packed 375s into the safety of your home. For a mere $25!!!
And while it says North Coast on the label, our direct intel from their own director of winemaking tells us the Merlot and Cab (which make up the majority) come straight from their Rutherford estate vineyard and represent the “best of the best” fruit they grow.
Now, about the blend.
It’s an interesting one. This is like if a Left Bank wine landed at Burning Man, had a little too much LSD, and started rethinking its whole identity. Make sense? For the “regular” Ops, here’s the hard facts: it’s mostly Merlot (46%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (36%), but it also includes a healthy dose of Pinot Noir (19%) plus a dash of Zinfandel and Petit Verdot…because this is AMERICA, and we don’t need to abide by silly Francophile rules.
And oh, milord, does it work.
A beautiful, deep gradient of crunchy, dark red and black fruit POPS OFF. Loamy earth, red currants and black raspberries, with terrific floral elements too – with lilacs and violets. Black cherries and blackberry balsamic reduction, mocha, and roasted espresso. Lustfully oaked, without being overblown.
Just a full-fledged crowd pleaser that screams premium Napa at a flea market price. Get at least six. Get a full case. Or more. You’ll be glad to have these lil ones around, or sad when it’s gone!
