Mission Codename True Testa-ment
“For Rebekah, the joy of winemaking is the opportunity to be a part of something so much more…“ - CBS News
The wait is over! A crowd-favorite returns, with an all-new vintage at the same awe-inspiring price under $20!
So… what happens when you give a 100-point winemaker freedom to make a wine they actually want to drink daily?
Hint: It’s not usually a Napa Cabernet.
Sure, you might know Rebekah Wineburg from her ultimately collectible, flat-out sexy, come-hither Quintessa wines.
But today we’re heading in an entirely different direction and sharing her passion project: Post & Vine.
If you’ve been around the Instagram wine circles or got any of the previous vintages we sold, you might be familiar. And in that case, you’re not even reading this because you know your next move.
Judging by these responses from our group, plenty of people are already checking out as you read this:
“Whoever said variety is the spice of life didn’t get to drink Post & Vine for $19!”
“For $19 a bottle, probably need to buy more if it’s available. Perfect during the week or serving to a large group in a party setting. Easy to drink and solid quality.”
“Hands down the best $19 I’ve spent on any wine, both the 2018 and 2019 are great. Biggest regret is not buying more.”
And the best part? Aside from how dang delicious the wine is?
You probably figured it out by now… it’s the price.
NINETEEN DOLLARS. People, please. At this jaw-dropper of a price, the only concern is having enough for everyone to try. Mind you, I already stashed six, with heavy restraint to refrain from multiple cases. We simply don’t have that much, given that only 10 barrels were made.
But man, if I could remotely attach to your nervous system and guide your hand to the checkout, I’d do it. One by one. Until every single one of you had a bottle.
What’s it like? Terrifyingly easy to drink, for one. Juicy. Fresh.
The blend varies year to year, but always comes from the ancient, old vines of Testa Vineyard. Per Rebekah’s site, “Fruit for our Old Vine Field Blend comes from 60-year-old (average), head-trained vines rooted in rocky, well-draining soils in the heart of Mendocino County.” Juicy pomegranate and red raspberry whips, a dusting of sweet baking spice, and a whisper of windswept herbs. Gorgeous acidity gives it some lift, and you can enjoy this with or without food equally. Although personally, I’m letting a few balls of NY pizza dough proof on the counter to enjoy with it tonight.
If you don’t buy some of this, there’s just no hope for you. And if you’re on the fence, do not wait long because this is a one-and-done deal.
