The impetus for starting her own brand exactly 125 years after her great, great grandfather began producing wines in Napa Valley was both rooted in heritage, but also the fact that her father kept encouraging her to do so.”

Napa Wine Project “The 2020 Five Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon (100% varietal) is deep ruby in color; the bouquet offers aromas of red plum, cherry, dark raspberry and blackberry accompanied by a hint of mint, pipe tobacco, campfire smoke, old cedar box, cocoa powder and milk chocolate. The palate offers dark fruited flavors of plum, blackberry and cherry. The finish lingers dark, savory and juicy with notes of menthol, tobacco, a light woodsy spice, dried bay leaf, white pepper and smoked sage and smoked cedar. The tannins are gravelly, fully coat the palate and linger with a dusty and drying character. Brightly lit from its generous acidity. It spent 18 months aging in French oak, barrels of which 40% were new barrels. This wine would go well with a well marbled, medium rare piece of beef from the BBQ covered in a spicy dry rub.”
