Mission Codename Ciao Bello
Machete is on the chopping block and GONE.
But with infinite foresight we have a mighty backup ready!
Cabernet lovers, particularly of the Rutherford type, this is a must-have! Especially at OVER 60% OFF the release price. Fun fact, last time we sold this, we could only navigate a 50% off discount, so you better believe at $35 down from $100 this, too, shall pass.
Be nimble! Be quick! Unless you have a hot tub time machine, in which case, we’d like to politely ask for some NVDA stock circa 2015.
Bello Family has been making fantastic wines in Napa for well over a decade, but unless you visited their tasting room you may not have heard of them. They make a handful of cases each year, and very little of it. Just a few barrels to be exact is made of this wine, and most go to their wine club members or restaurants.
How did we land some of this freshly released, off-the-charts-delicious Rutherford Cab? Advanced psy-ops? Devastating good looks? Deep connections with friends in wine country? Doesn’t matter, really.
What matters is right here in front of you. Crafted from a mere 5 acre vineyard originally planted by David Abreu, surrounded by famous vineyards such as Georges de Latour, Scarecrow, Phelps, Cakebread, Staglin, Morisoli, Round Pond… Rutherford Dust galore here!
Proprietor Christopher Bello makes the wines, who learned from the best consultants over the years like Aaron Pott (of Pott, Blackbird, Seven Stones fame) and Ross Wallace (of Bryant Family, Hunnicutt, Nickel & Nickel fame) as what’s in the glass clearly shows. As Vinous once put, the Bello Family style is all about “very silky and satisfying Cabernet, with the balance to give pleasure early and last well.”
The deep purple/ruby color gives way to a festival of ripe, juicy black cherries, black plum, and blueberry cobbler up in your muzzle. Some dusty earth (Rutherford dust, yo) and crushed stone, rose petal and clove enter the fray. Just a baby now, but it has all the right stuff poppin’ off for maximum enjoyment in the near term - and the stuffing to go the distance. Assuming you get enough to last.
Real deal Rutherford Cab priced like this always moves fast. Countdown to “sold out” starts again!
