Mission Codename Sauvblime
An astoundingly lush, stylish, rich Sauvignon Blanc at a floor-shaking 55% OFF.
For years the D’Ambrosio family sold fruit from their 200 acres of prime vineyards in Napa to some well known high-end producers. In 2006 they started making their own wine, and in 2016 they leveled up, teaming up with the talented crew from Wolf’s Head Wines in Napa. They brought on Tom Foster - former sidekick to Genevieve Janssens at Opus One, Nils Venge at Groth and Robbie Meyer at Lewis Cellars. He brings that same full-throttle, big style to Essere’s wines.
If you’ve had Mondavi Fume Blanc or Spotswoode Sauv Blanc, you know what to expect here - rich, creamy and lush SB with a kiss of new oak. This shows off with wonderful fresh squeezed citrus, guava, and white flower aromas and a nice subtle hint of light toast. Fresh and vibrant with lemongrass, yuzu, grapefruit, and zesty lime, along with a touch of roasted hazelnuts. Long, broad and rich, with juiciness and creaminess hand in hand, showing pedigree and class. Pasta Alfredo, sushi, Niçoise salad are some of the ideal accompaniments to this versatile white. It’s also just perfect on its own while sitting poolside, or fresh from a cooler while floating down the Russian River…which is what we’re planning to do this afternoon!
Was $44 …today it’s just a crisp 20 dollar bill. A must-have if you love serious Sauvignon Blanc. Don’t miss!!!
