Aw, geez. Confession time…

Sorry, but we drank a SHAMEFUL amount of this during the past week. With temps near 100 degrees each day, we desperately needed to stay hydrated, so apologies if we are a few cases short. It had to be done.

That said, you really need all that remains in your backyard lounging, Sonos speaker bumpin’, umbrella shade sipping, home school surviving, day drinking all Summer rotation. C’mon… it literally goes with ANY activity we can think of!

Heidi Barrett hardly needs an introduction. She earned her street cred fashioning many spectacular vintages of Screaming Eagle along with plenty of other smash hits at Dalla Valle, Grace Family, Revana, David Arthur, Barbour, the list goes on and on. The list of those she refused is much, much longer! She’s got game, no doubt. After rolling out two monstrous smash hit reds recently from her arsenal and succumbing to a frenzy of emails asking for more, we rang her up and begged for one more shot at something from her very own beloved La Sirena, the mermaid.

And she didn’t disappoint. This time it’s all about crisp, refreshing, bone-tingling rosé! Or Rosato as it’s called here, a nod to the Primitivo roots. Rarely spotted outside of top restaurants normally, yet another silver lining to the pandemic, blessed we are to be able to bring it to you with a 40% off on top.

This comes from 100% Primitivo clone of Zinfandel, which makes a killer rosé, grown in the cool Sierra Foothills. So fresh, so clean, dishes up everything you expect and more. Gorgeous pale pink, with brilliant copper highlights. White peach, crunchy pluot, a touch of lyche, rose water. Grapefruit pith, orange blossom and a touch of white pepper. Viscous yet refreshing, long with a hint of cinnamon bark. Pair with a griiled watermelon salad with feta, fresh mint and balsamic, as it walks the line between lush and zippy, with a pile of ripe fruit on one side and tart, bright zing on the other.

Super limited, and alas, already down a bunch of cases due to pure Spy selfishness. Forgive us, it was the heat. If you move fast you can lock some down!
