Mission Codename Hint, hint...

Woooo! Cheat code unlocked!!

Congratulations! We didn’t get you an extra 30 lives, but we totally CRUSHED the Retail Price boss into submission. And that means your price on this insanely tasty Napa Cabernet just plummeted from $125 to $37!

If only we could use the Konami cheat code like that in life. Man, that would be something. The real story is this… What happens when a fancy restaurant wants its own equally fancy wine to sell? They employ some high-brow, cork-slinging winemakers in Napa to make a custom label. They source fruit from premier vineyards that adorn some of the priciest bottles around.

It’s primarily from two top Rutherford sites, plus a couple from Oakville and Howell Mountain, all names we’re sworn to secrecy not to share because they simply can’t be disclosed in writing unless the bottle’s actually selling for the $125+. We trust your surveillance skills Operatives, just add 2 + 2!

Yeah, we were floored when we learned where the fruit comes from. It all made more sense once we met what’s in the glass.*

From the first sip, you know it’s special. Saying this wine is enjoyable is like saying the first-class ticket on an Emirates 787 Dreamliner is a rather nice way to fly. DEEP, lush, and powerful, it exudes luxury from every angle. A torrent of sweet blackberry, dried blueberries, black currants, and dark chocolate covered raisins flood into every nook of your mouth. The toasty oak tastes expensive, and the texture is all warm and inviting with a polished glycerin like feel. MMMMM. If you like Inglenook Rubicon or Caymus Special Selection or other big guns in that vicinity, we IMPLORE you to get some.

And oh, yeah, the winemaker, whom we ARE allowed to brag about, is none other than Tom Hilde here, a name you may have heard from his 3 decades of experience in these parts, through instrumental roles as institutions such as

These kinds of deals rarely come across our plate, but when they do THEY SELL OUT real fast.

We already threw a few cases into our stashes. Now it’s your turn.
