Codename:

I'm sorry mama

“IT’D BE COOL IF MY KIDS COULD MAKE SOMETHING I ACTUALLY WANT. LIKE A BOTTLE OF WINE OUT OF MACARONI.”

Happy Mother’s Day! (with quick apologies to my mom for everything from ages 13-21).

Want to make it up to YOUR mom?

We can’t fashion a bottle of wine from macaroni, but we can do one better - by getting her a few bottles of this grade-A, primetime boutique Sonoma Cabernet.

The best part? She doesn’t even need to know you saved a whopping 69%! From $95 to $29… shhh, our secret.

Talk about SCREAMING good stuff at a whisper of a price! And get this - you can’t find this anywhere. Not even through them! 100% exclusive locked down by Wine Spies, just for YOU.

Some of you will remember when we offered Mastro Scheidt for the first time last year. David Scheidt is a true tour de force. Super talented winemaker. Meme lord. And a fantastic chef – with a heap of KILLER recipes for pairing ideas. Seriously, check them out. Seeing how much Operatives loved the first rounds, he recently sent us a couple of new Cabs to try, right off the bottling line. Both were blindingly flashy, insanely FRESH, and intensely concentrated. This one, powered by fruit from Deering Vineyard atop the famous Moon Mountain AVA marks only the 2nd harvest ever from this young, CCOF certified organically grown fruit. And if this wine is any indication, we can’t wait for many more.

Inky black, blue, and purple inside out. JAMMY and ripe, but not syrupy or sweet at all. This opens with a dense, deep cascade of red and black berry fruits, like a bramble pie. Black cherry preserve, red currants, blackberries, a smack of boysenberry, and some sweet vanilla chai. With soft and silky tannins on top! It drinks like a heavyweight champ straight out the gate, with plenty of nuance and grace to spare, and has a long, long road ahead of blooming into new depths. Pair this beauty with an orange-glazed duck breast served atop braised lentils.

What you are getting here is an ultra-honest wine, supporting a truly small, family-oriented winemaker, at a stupidly good price. An easy front runner for Cab of the year thus far. We already loaded a couple of cases into our personal stashes.

Who else can bring you a fist-pumping Cabernet score like this?! Super pumped and proud about this one!! Micro-production, so get some while you can and thank us later.
