Wine Spies Tasting Profile:

Look – Deeply rich ruby-plum color, thick legs, and a dense and springy character when swirled

Smell – Licorice-spice, bell pepper, twigs, ripe blackberry, earth and cigar box

Feel – Initially very wet, then immediately attaches to the mouth with great tannins even at the lips

Taste – In a word: DELICIUOS! This wine is full-bodied and exudes giant but balanced flavors of dark berry, capsicum (green bell pepper), plum, smoke and a hint of cedar shaving

Finish – Bright and dry with flavors and a mouth feel that moves from sweet to a wonderful tart dryness

Conclusion – Once again, we have spied a spectacular wine for your enjoyment. This Consentino Reserve Cabernet Franc is a very rich wine with great complexity and wonderful balance. This is a big wine that is a super pleasure to drink. With enough flavor and sensation to enjoy as a stand-alone, I also found that this wine pairs with almost anything I was able to throw at it.
