Mission Codename Soothe my soul
“I’m always impressed by the quality Kendall-Jackson puts out… terrific, high-quality wines.” - Jeb Dunnuck
Double the 92 points Wine Advocate and Vinous alike, and $45 elsewhere! Galloni nailed it: “tremendous density and tons of pure power… an especially rich and muscular style.” This is the ultimate crowd-pleasing, soul-satisfying, mega Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon deal at the world’s BEST price.
You can search far and wide for a more reliable and delicious wine and you’d come up short a thousand times. For the price, it’s really hard to find a comparable quality wine. In fact, this straight-up decimated other Cabs priced much higher at a recent tasting. Of course, K-J is HUGE. A giant in the industry. Maybe you think of them as mostly a purveyor of affordable everyday wines.
Heck, if you didn’t get your training wheels going on a Vintner’s Reserve, where did you start?
But this, for a modest price bump with our exclusively sweet direct access deal takes you to an entirely new level. This is boutique production, focused, ultra-plush and rich - an expression of their full potential to make world-class wines with earthshattering affordability.
Because the truth is they own or have long-term access to some of the best vineyards in California. And the best winemaking tech. The best of everything, really. As a powerhouse, they own a TON of top-notch vineyards, and with unlimited resources, at their disposal, they can make some dead serious quality wines at great prices. If this came from a smaller producer the retail would cost much more, no doubt.
Inky black in the core with a radiant dark vermillion lip. The level of plush, richness brings a smile to your face. DEEP blue and black fruits galore. Crème de cassis, blueberry jam, spice box, blackberry pie, melted toffee, and violets. Perfectly delineated and plush, yet seamless from front to back. BIG crowd-pleasing potential, and one you’ll reach for over and over. Especially with those weekday night steaks that need a nudge to get elevated to new heights, all on a weekday budget!
Trust your favorite wine merchant and snag this one by the case.
92 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
“A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot aged in 61% new French oak for 20 months, the deep ruby-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon opens to cedar, cassis, dark chocolate-covered cherries, leather, a frame of sweet baking spices and coffee notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied and youthfully dense with a chewy frame and good freshness, finishing with oak spices. Give this another couple years in bottle. Drink 2021-2032.”
92 Points – Antonio Galloni’s Vinous
“A bold, powerful wine, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley possesses tremendous density and tons of pure power. Black cherry, menthol, licorice, chocolate, cloves and French oak add to an impression of gravitas and brooding power. This is an especially rich, muscular style. Drink 2020-2029.”
