Mission Codename Nothing to Hyde

Happy 2022 Dearest Operatives!!

As another year begins, we’d like to give you a heads up that we will be conducting our annual inventory count next week from 1/10-1/14.

During this time, our shipping department will not be shipping out any orders and all outgoing shipments will begin departing once again on Monday the 17th.

If you need special accommodations due to this closure, please let us know.

Thank you so much for your patience during this time and here’s to another year ahead!**

And now, back to our regularly scheduled offer…

This is Patz & Hall’s Hyde Vineyard, baby! Drops like a bomb, cuts like a razor blade, obliterates other weaker Chardonnay, and soothes the soul like no other.

DOUBLE 94 points, and a ridiculous price normally only found in your dreams. Let’s gooooo!

Where does one start? Is it being a Patz & Hall or a Hyde more important? Equally of course, we’ve gotta rave about both.

Okay first P&H. If Robert Parker declares that “Patz & Hall has a long and enviable track record, making Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from some of the very finest single vineyards in Northern California. They rarely miss a beat, and the wines are sure bets.” then they sure ARE.

And that ties us into the HYDE factor. There’s good reason why San Francisco Chronicle calls Mr. Hyde the “King of Carneros” as no other vineyard in America can claim the fame of a Domaine de la Romanée-Conti partnership. That formula is DRC + H = HdV, or Hyde de Villaine. Since the greatest of all Pinot and Chardonnay producers on earth went in half and half with the Hyde family there, the value of the fruit from the Hyde Vineyard has skyrocketed.

So we worked out a Good Will Hunting type formula that goes like this: (P+H) x H = 2 x 94 points - ALMOST HALF OFF. In other words, pure liquid gold here.

Lastly, if you’re still reading you’re in luck. Check out the other bonus for the day, an equally heralded and as deeply discounted Patz & Hall Pinot in the Store. If you still haven’t grabbed all that you can, and should, we can’t click for ya!

94 Points – Jeb Dunnuck

“The 2017 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard, which comes from a great vineyard in Carneros, ratchets up the intensity and richness yet still delivers a beautiful vibrancy and freshness. Lots of caramelized lemon, tart pineapple, toasted brioche, and subtle creamy notes all emerge on the nose, and it’s medium-bodied, with plenty of mid-palate depth, a bright spine of acidity, and a great finish. It’s another beautiful, impeccably made Chardonnay from this estate that readers will love. It should have 4-6 years (if not even longer) of prime drinking. Drink 2021-2027.”

94 Points – Wine Enthusiast

“Silky smooth and sculptured in crisp apple, pear and integrated oak, this showcases the famous site in all its complex glory, with accents of baking spice and brine. Medium bodied, it displays richness within a context of balance and grace.”
