Mission Codename Don't fret, Juliet
âWherefore art thou Romeo?â
HERE. Right here. For the moment at least.
Because this heart-poundingly good Venge-Fayard-made Rutherford-vineyard-sourced, 97 POINT Cabernet blockbuster⌠wonât last the day.
Was $120 and now (while it lasts at leastâŚ) itâs way, WAY down to $49. What are we even doing?
Beau Vigne - those in the know recognize them as an original cult winery best known for their 100-point Reserve Cabernet. Robert Parker labeled them âone of my favorite wineries. A true gem of Napa Valley.â
Julien Fayard came out swinging for the fences with his debut wine for Beau Vigne, taking over the reins from his equally venerable predecessor Kirk Venge. With a resume that includes Lafite Rothschild, Smith Haut Lafitte, Melka, Quintessa, Realm, and Covert Estate it doesnât get much better. And the fruit comes from top vineyards across Rutherford, Oakville and St. Helena AVAs.
The Tasting Panel signaled whatâs to come: âTo be sure, Fayard brings technical expertise as well as experience in crafting luxury wines, but itâs his relationships with many of Napa Valleyâs most prestigious vineyards that will continue to elevate Beau Vigne into the future. This includes renewed contracts with both longtime sources like Beckstoffer Vineyardsâ Georges III Vineyard and up-and-coming estatesâŚâ
Enjoy with an In-N-Out burger or an A5 Wagyu steak. Youâll be happy either way.
But please do make this yours before itâs too late - âparting is such sweet sorrowâ as the saying goes, and this wine will depart from our site forever in a few hours, weâre guessingâŚ
97 Points â The Tasting Panel
âIntense dark chocolate-covered cherry and roasted coffee glide in on a sleek mouthfeel with seductive notes of blackberry and licorice. In its youth, this broad-shouldered yet already balanced red is cloaked in dark violets that bloom as it opens up.â
