Mission Codename Birthday cigar
How to explain the power and intensity of today and especially this wine? Have you ever driven a Top Fuel drag down the quarter-mile in 3.8 seconds while burning through 15 gallons of nitromethane fuel?
It’s kind of like that. We imagine, at least. Slightly quieter, and with less risk of explosions. And with the cost of gasoline, MUCH cheaper. An unreal 83% OFF drops the price by $186 per bottle.
Few wines we’ve offered really come close to the sheer brashness on display here. By now, you might know what Essere Franco brings to the table because we’ve sold their winemaker’s blend, Proprietary Red, and Chardonnay. Each and every one flashes that same hedonistic, pedal to the metal design.
They’re opulent. Hedonistic. Plush and extracted. It’s all that and more, yet somehow it remains completely held together with all the poise of an NFL linebacker doing ballet.
We loved their 2014, 2012, and 2010 Prop Reds. But this, from the stellar 2016 vintage? Next level.
The palate jolts the senses with big, LUSH, succulent waves of blackberry and blackcurrant, black cherry and caramel. Cedar, vanilla, clove and…more blueberries. It’s so rich, so toasty. Just utterly pleasure-bent drinking material with a filibuster finish. We’re already prepping the wagyu burgers and portobello mushrooms to grill with this one!
That price! Not $225. Not $150. Not even $40.
What else can we say?? We’re cooked, and for sure earned a trip across the street to Lagunitas for a beer. Thanks, and see you tomorrow for our STORE TAKEOVER, import style…
Reminder - today’s wines will stay up for one hour, or until they sell out. If any remain after that one hour, they will be here in the Store.
