Cyrus Creek Diamond Mountain NO MORE.

It’s what happens when you offer Napa mountain fruit from a classic year like 2018 discounted to the $30s.

Well, then, how about another Napa mountain fruit from a classic year like 2018 discounted to the $30s next?

Once again, we got you covered with an insider’s only bargain from Atlas Peak at nearly half off & 93 POINTS!

Drop into one of our favorites in recent memory - a super friendly, good-vibe-flowing, Napa Cab dealing out MEGA style points for the price. When this smacks your lips it’s like WHAPAAA - just ride the barrel and get PITTED, so pitted with dank fruity goodness.

ALTA sits way high up near the top of Atlas Peak. It was new to us and remains a hidden family-owned secret in the valley. Their vineyard sits next to the legendary Kongsgaard Cabernet vineyard. In fact, owner Fred Oliai has a longstanding working relationship with John Kongsgaard and has been supplying him grapes since 2009. Fred says he “greatly influenced my winemaking style” which is evident from how polished this wine is.

NorCal is slang for Northern California, and this is the chill, friendly jargon equivalent to the highbrow, uber-expensive stuff you normally find from the area. This blend with Cabernet Sauvignon as the driver and Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot supporting, hails from the beautiful, elegant 2018 vintage. It hangs loose with gorgeous layers of fruit in a seamless texture. Flowing with blueberry pie, cassis, ripe dark plums, mixed wild berries, some mocha. No hard edges, no unruly tannins, just broad, expansive, mouthcoating red and black fruits churning around into a lengthy finish.

While not much of the press has caught up with these insider finds, Antonio Galloni’s Vinous took a close look at some previous vintages, raving that “the wines are done in a ripe, unctuous style that can be enjoyed young… bold, forward and juicy, all qualities readers will be able to enjoy upon release” and that “there is plenty to like.” To that, we agree wholeheartedly.

Napa Cabs move fast around these parts, especially when priced like this. Stock up on this easy-drinking, over-delivering deal while it lasts.

93 points - James Suckling

“Aromas of black plums, mulberries, earth, graphite, and baking spices. Medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Polished and creamy with bright acidity. Excellent structure. A blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2023.”
