RUN IT BACK!

Ready for another chance to snag “one of the most coveted producers in Sonoma County” according to Sonoma Magazine?

Our recent offer of the 2016 vanished in hours. Yes, the thirst for La Pitchoune is REAL and grows larger with every offer. As more people discover this boutique producer, they realize how much these wines over-deliver at our price, and we’re serving up another fantastic vintage today. A wine “blessed with plenty of flavor” also blessed with 92 points and anointed with 50% OFF by us!

The Nielsen’s aim to make wine in a Burgundian fashion. Working with small farmers, producing just a few barrels at a time, and striving for the highest quality. The name “La Pitchoune” or “little one” even comes from a small vineyard in Burgundy. This bottling comes from two highly coveted vineyards in the Sonoma Coast region - Pratt and Falcon Crest. Notable producers who source from here include Copain, Cattleya, Spring Mountain, and Crescere.

Winemaker Andrew Berge led the way for years, until his untimely passing in 2021. Yet wines built like this will carry on his legacy for many years, decades to come. Five years young, it has TONS of life left.

Glimmering gold in the glass, it’s balanced with fruit, acidity, and ripeness all in perfectly high-pitched harmony. It was barrel fermented in 100% French Oak, 1/3 new. So, it’s not dripping with butter and has a definite edgy, steely, precision-focused style. There’s golden apple, toasty brioche, yellow pear, and white nectarines all layered on top of captivating floral blossom notes. A straight-up gorgeous wine to have around this summer.

Just 2 barrels made. And we have a fraction of that to share. Get some before it’s too late!

92 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

“The 2017 Chardonnay Pratt Vineyard has pretty scents of honeycomb, hazelnuts, quince and orchard fruits with some baker’s yeast and white blossom notes. The palate is medium-bodied and savory with great freshness and a long, energetic finish. Drink 2020-2025.”
