Mission Codename Daylight Robbery
Not everyone can hit a $1.2b Mega Millions ticket (only to take $443m home because of TAXES… sheesh) but you can grab a few of these big gun Cabs.
WELL OVER $100 per bottle savings, drinks like something priced 2x as much and sure to please anyone who craves that rich, hedonistic, ultra flashy style.
A couple of months ago we tasted, loved, and blew out their Beckstoffer Melrose Cab, wondering if this new project could be a one-hit-wonder. Were we wrong, or what? This one offers the same intensity as that ‘WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?’ feeling returns.
Naturally, we jumped on all we could get for you.
Sadly though, not everyone can get this wine. We have a very small amount of the 145 cases made. But those who do will experience the Full Monty Napa Cab experience. Fruit is raised at Stagecoach Vineyard - aka ‘Rodeo Drive of Napa Valley’ where a who’s who of producers make wines. Brought up in 100% new French oak T5 barrels (some of the absolute best). Crafted by a celebrity winemaker (who remains nameless under an NDA). It tastes every bit the part with a DEEP plush core of blackberry, candied cherries, crème de cassis, violets, sweet tobacco leaf, and dark chocolate, all riding on soft, silky tannins.
Stagecoach Cab at $65 has NEVER been seen before that we recall or could find, and we’re Spies! Under $100 is RARE really for this famed vineyard that adorns labels that quickly reach $200+ as you go up the ladder. This kind of a single vineyard Stagecoach deal is unheard of when Pott, Krupp Brothers, Alpha Omega, The Debate, Paul Hobbs, or Venge are just some names you’ll recognize who’ve made one.
This one comes from the C1 Block that falls on the Pritchard Hill side of this massive vineyard that rises 1,800 feet above the Oakville and Rutherford valley floor stretching 600 acres, all the way to Atlas Peak. And why is it called Stagecoach anyway? History has the answer: This terrain is so rugged and so remote that in the 1800s it was Wells Fargo’s preferred stagecoach route to ditch bandits. Until the best one, Black Bart cracked the code and robbed 28 (!) in just 8 years, until he was caught.
Black Bart would appreciate seeing this $215 Cab at $65 today.
Treat yourself and get one. Or 12. Live your best life. Just do it quickly because we’re pumped to have it, but there’s not much to go around.
