We SOLD OUT on our first Marathon, but the Operatives on the live stream spoke and we listened. The rest of the day we have MICA!

Mission Codename Thrill of the hunt

What a coup! TRIPLE 92 points from Dunnuck, Advocate, and Vinous. It actually tastes more like 95+ when you consider the price you’re paying today!

Normally $70 but a jaw-dropping 53% OFF gets it into your hands for just over $30. Fair warning - there’s not much and you must strike while the iron is hot.

Or even better, like a Dracula ant (they go from 0 to 200 mph in a mere 0.000015 seconds.) Pretty sure that’s relative. If ants are running 200 mph that’d be pretty damn scary.

We digress.

Point being just to move as quickly as possible to lock some down, ok? With a winemaking pedigree (Gianna Ghilarducci, formerly at Cardinale, St. Francis, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars) and access to prime fruit from two sites in Knights Valley, you’d be foolish to pass it up.

Especially if you like your Cab that’s “rich, lush, super-expressive” or “full-bodied, rich and spicy” or packed with “beautiful fruit…”

Just a few snippets from the reviews, which you can read below. These Galerie wines always impress, between the three pros and us, they pretty much nailed it again. This is a “dual vineyard” featuring the perfect pairing of Knights Valley fruit from Kellogg Estate and Knights Bridge. A terrific balance of black fruit, and crazy minerality right up front, with violets, spice, oak, vanilla, and magnificent acidity rounding it out. Seriously complex, heady, and one for the intellectuals and hedonists alike. Just a baby right now and will last for many years to come. But why wait?

Really, the price-to-quality ratio is off the charts and simply does not compute.

Very little to share! This won’t last…

92+ Points – Jeb Dunnuck

“Coming from two sites in Knights Valley, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Latro has a darker, smokier, mineral style as well as plenty of black fruits, tobacco, and dark chocolate notes, medium to full body, and again, some grippy, firm tannins. Nevertheless, it has beautiful fruit, shows more pure cassis and violet notes with time in the glass, and is going to improve with short-term cellaring.”

92 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

“Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Latro Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with baked plums, crème de cassis, cardamom and tilled soil with hints of tapenade, lilacs, Indian spices and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied, rich and spicy, it fills the palate with ripe, expressive black and blue fruits, with a chewy texture and plenty of freshness, finishing long with a perfumed lift. Drink 2020-2033.”

92 Points – Antonio Galloni’s Vinous

“The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Latro is rich, lush and super-expressive. Black cherry, chocolate, spice, new leather and espresso give the 2017 quite a bit of brooding darkness. There is plenty of Knights Valley savoriness and structure, which means readers will want to cellar the 2017 for at least a few years. This is really expressive and terrific, a wine of great character. Drink 2022-2032.”
