Here’s your invitation to celebrate daylight savings time, the arrival of spring, or your kids first homerun in t-ball in style. ANY occasion works for this 97 POINT, life-force affirming, vintage Champers! Especially at our price - $50 OFF, good people!
And boy, does it live up to THAT NAME!
Let’s start with a tasting note, then dive deeper. Deep, brilliant gold, the inviting nose is dominated by a bouquet of Spring blossoms, bergamot peel, candied Meyer lemon, brioche toast, and vibrant minerality all in perfect harmony. Brilliant acidity is set back against a creamy mousse on the palate straddling that delicate bridge between a crisp bubbly and Grand Cru white Burgundy. Luxurious, yet subtly with finesse that entices the senses, it truly is the ultimate seductive elixir.
How about ALL THAT, for a Tête de Cuvée VINTAGE Champagne for $50! Just because you’re one of our esteemed Operatives you get HALF OFF?! It’s good to be undercover.
Long before the 97 Points this vintage earned from the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards, it was Antonio Galloni for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate who raved “Voluptuous and creamy to the finish, the Séduction’ impresses for its fine balance and round, harmonious finish. The Ellner wines are mostly fermented and aged in steel, although Chardonnay used for vintage wines sees a touch of oak.”
Said Chardonnay is 70% in this luxury cuvée, from select vineyards in Montagne de Reims and Épernay, where the 30% balance of Pinot Noir comes from. Deliberately evading malolactic, it’s bottled with a low dosage of just 2 grams per liter after a year on the lees. The result is ultimate liquid decadence, electrifying and ready to adorn your days and nights. Séduction is inevitable!
Few, if any Champagne at this price point can compete with this. You deserve at least one bottle, right?
Pile up while it’s here!
97 Points, Platinum – Decanter World Wine Awards
“Tight and lean with a delightful linear texture. The nose is pure umami with super-rich yeast overlaying a spine of lime cordial. The electric-acid palate is almost unyielding, with austere baked apples, oysters, chalk, and a pickled lemon note. Mouthwatering, crisp, cleansing. Needs time.”
93 Points – International Wine Report
“The 2007 ‘Séduction’ is a lovely showing from this house. This begins to impress with inviting aromas of baked apples, pears and lemon oil with hints of toast and chalky mineral nuances all taking shape. On the palate this displays a wonderful, elegant side, but with plenty of energy from the underlying acidity which drives this wine through the complex finish. Overall, this is a fantastic bottle of Champagne that is drinking beautifully today and still has a few more years of drinking pleasure ahead. Drink 2021-2025.”
