Mission Codename Game on
Super Bowl Sunday!! Who you got? Eagles…Chiefs…some parlay action??
Whatever the play, here’s one you can’t lose on. We’re all scoring BIG today.
That is, if you like juicy Pinot and juicy deals at least. And if you can get some before it’s gone.
This crushing value comes to us from the Central Coast - Santa Lucia Highlands to be exact. A single vineyard gem normally $48 at the winery but we’re Gronk-spiking that price down to $19!
Mignanelli is a small family run operation down there, making mostly Pinot and Chardonnay, with many of their efforts racking up scores from 90-94 points. We think this hits somewhere in that range, too and could hang with the $80+ Pinots all day.
This family-run winery only works with the best vineyards from the best growing regions in California and Oregon. Proprietor/winemaker Byron Mignanelli has been called a maverick with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, specializing in small lot, single vineyard wines with TONS of personality.
KW Ranch Vineyard sits between two heavy hitter vineyards of the region, Rosella’s & Garys’! so you should consider this with sends to both. The winery takes a ‘vineyard first’ approach to winemaking and it shows with the elegance and sense of place in this beauty. Think dark fruit that jumps out of the glass, and brilliant acidity that this region has become famous for.
An alluring deep ruby color, and stunning aromas of cola, black cherry, mulling spices and vanilla bean fill the glass. Byron makes this with 60% whole cluster, native fermentation, hand punch-downs, and minimal additions. Refreshing and sprightly, ripe red cherry jubilee, juicy pomegranate, rhubarb and toasty herbs all cascade into a mouthwatering and supple rush across your tongue. It’s gorgeous, ready to impress your friends who don’t need to know what you paid for it!
For $19, this one will not be around for too long. Get it!
