Mission Codename Pinot Gold
Stop. What. You’re. Doing.
You have been blessed! This is a gem of a wine that you can’t afford to let pass by.
After a few animal sacrifices (sorry Agent Barnyard) we were able to get access to one of our favorite wineries’ small production premium vineyard Pinot Noirs.
Let me hear you say Yu-ki!
According to Antonio Galloni’s Vinous Ross Cobb makes “some of the most beguiling, transparent Pinots in all of California” - TRUTH! And Cobb finished this wine with the touch of Midas – made it shimmer with GOLD.
This is obvious by the Gold Medals swept up from the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle and Sunset International wine competitions. But that just scratches the surface…
The vineyard here is truly a unicorn, too, and has received its fair share of glowing reviews as an Estate vineyard for Freeman Winery! Located above the town of Occidental on the Sonoma Coast, this site is perfectly situated to ripen Pinot Noir gently while keeping every bit of aroma and brilliant acidity. That is why the only other Yu-ki you’ll find is Freeman’s own, AT TWICE THIS PRICE.
Features lush and elegant tannins with a rounded, layered palette and a finish that will last through next week. Think aromas of bright Bing cherry, raspberry preserves, cedar, and morel mushrooms. Deep black fruit flavors play with bright red tones and notes of sweet forest floor on the palate as nuances of freshly tanned leather and vanilla bean linger on the silky finish. Truly a masterpiece!
Won’t last long at OVER 40% OFF for such excellence in single vineyard Pinot - unheard of!
And if you aren’t quick enough to catch the deal of a lifetime on the Furthermore, hopefully, you’re nimble enough to grab a few bottles of our FIRST allocation of Ross Cobb’s personal project Cobb Wines in the Store here. We saved this tidbit for last as there is precious little to be had.
