Mission Codename Kick-Asseo
Deep Cover Giveaway = 99 points, 100% pure joy, guaranteed.
L’Aventure is no stranger to huge scores from the pros and adoration among discerning connoisseurs.
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate regularly is “blown away by these wines”* adding that “one of the reference point estates in Paso Robles is unquestionably Stephan Asseo’s L’Aventure.”
Case in point - this flirting-with-perfection 99 pointer is dead-serious, mouth-dropping stuff, packed to the gills with an infinity pool of black fruit, savory spices, floral notes, and all the complexity of an MIT advanced physics course.
Oh, you know what happens to such massively scoring collectibles down the road? They get pricier! And pricier… AND pricier over time. So if you were not in early you end up saying “should have, would have, could have…”
Literally a handful of bottles to share, please be considerate. Will you be one of the lucky few?
99 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
“A blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot, the 2020 Estate Cuvée is another outstanding wine from L’Aventure in the challenging 2020 vintage, offering singular concentration and elegance. Deep ruby-purple, it has a pure core of cassis and slowly unfolding accents of licorice, cured meats, tobacco leaves, cedar and truffle. Full-bodied, juicy and alluring, it floods the mouth with layers of blue fruit, floral perfume and spice. It is supported by powdery tannins and boasts a tremendously long, detailed finish. Drink 2023-2028.”
