Robb Report announced with fanfare in 2018 that “A Champagne Favorite Finally Comes to the US” stating that “US devotees of the world’s bar-setting sparkling wine are in luck, as one Champagne producer is about to become much more available on this side of the pond” adding that Palmer “nails the challenging balance of power and finesse, palate weight and freshness. The blend yields a savory edge on the nose, with complex brioche aromas, giving way to beautiful citrus and delicate red berries lingering on an indulgently long finish.”

The dedication and devotion to only putting the greatest wine possible into the bottle under the Palmer name has turned out an ELECTRIC vintage in 2012. The perfume is citrus-laden while floral with pure red fruits of maraschino cherry, rose petals, croissant dough, and chalky minerals. The mousse is refined and adds richness where it is otherwise driving with focus and persistence. What’s quite remarkable is how a texture so well rounded could feel lean and clean too.
