Mission Codename Seesaw
We’re going to leverage the momentum with the help of a Fulcrum. Get it?!?!
Okay, whatever… We’ll be over here, drinking this insanely good wine we scored for 55% off…
“A fulcrum is a point of balance for a lever and his goal is to leverage the best wine out of the best grapes while maintaining balance. That is what Fulcrum is all about.” - PinotFile
Archimedes said, “give me a big enough lever and a fulcrum and I’ll move the world”.
The right fulcrum gives you the leverage to multiply efforts and in the wine world that means getting prime fruit, using great barrels, and perhaps most importantly - having a skilled winemaking hand.
Meet Fulcrum. Self-taught proprietor/winemaker David Rossi has been creating wines of balance as in the project’s name, with complexity and intrigue from all over Sonoma for almost 2 decades.
This Knights Valley Cab is beautiful and bold. Maybe because for premium Cabs, Knights Valley is highly regarded, essentially as a continuation of Napa Valley across the county line. This explains why the names surrounding this fruit include Peter Michael, Morlet Family, Melka Estates, Keplinger, Pax, Anakota, Beringer… the list goes on, and on.
Deep, inky, and alluring purple color, this wine calls to you. Aromas of black cherries, fig, violet, and cedar entice you into the glass. Decadent and elegant while punching way above its weight class, it’s gorgeous. On the palate it’s lush, structured tannins dance with blackberry, anise, graphite, white pepper, tobacco, and vanilla. The finish is laced with cassis, plum, and dusty cocoa tannins, as long and complex as can be.
This is SMALL production; you won’t find it out in the wild. And it’s more than half off today.
Like only 9 barrels were made and the mailing list got first dibs on that. You get the picture.
