Started by Chris Puppione as a gift to his then-pregnant wine, the intention of the brand was to honor and celebrate the family that they were creating together. Chris’ wife, Dee wanted to make baby blanket but, you know, a winery is close to that!

Always in the wine industry, Chris has worked in most parts of the winemaking process as well as an educator and most recently serving as the Regional Key Accounts Manager for Coravin (and if you don’t know what these devices are, we highly recommend them!).

This is the first wine as a family of four. It is also the first wine made using 100% whole cluster which adds richness to the end wine. Thus, the wine is named Intero meaning “whole” in Italian.

This Syrah is aged in neutral oak and comes from a cooler site in the Russian River called Don Miguel Vineyard, on the Marimar Torres property. Think naked Syrah in all its earthy beauty! Dark plum, broody blackberry, and bright cherry notes, are complex and intriguing. Cherry wood smoke, freshly tanned leather, and a mélange of grilling herbs dance on the palate.
