A blend of two indigenous grapes to Sicily, Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine is elegant and bold. Think layers of blueberry, mulberry, and baked cherry with notes of vanilla, coffee, saffron, thyme, rosemary, and cocoa. The rich mouthfeel, brilliant acidity, and lingering finish make it a perfect pair for full-flavor sauces, pasta, and grilled meats.

Andrea Bernardini is La Bollina’s consultant, a veteran winemaker who is known to blend traditional winemaking with modern techniques, and indigenous varietals with international ones.
