Mission Codename Cab Rush
Warning: We cannot be held responsible for the clonic fits of ecstasy, total palate overload, or any momentary loss of frontal cortex functioning when you taste this.
Fans of larger-than-life Cabernet with neutron star-like density, please pause from shaving your yak, put down the brekkie sandwich. Pull an Irish goodbye from whatever you have going on to lock some of this down. We have not sold a wine packed with this kind of power, maybe ever.
Oh! And we almost forgot! 97 + 96 points, medals galore, AND you’ll save a cool 51% off the price.
Now let’s dive into this bad boy.
We’d LOVE to tell you more about the rockstar winemaker behind it. Or the world-class winery where it’s made. Our lawyers said that’s a no go unless we want to get in big trouble. We can say it comes from a winery in the heart of Rutherford, made by a winemaker who’s no stranger to big scores who may or may not be attached to the likes of Beringer, Cakebread, and Raymond.
The bottle! Holy moly - the weight alone might crush us with shipping costs. Great if you need some new home workout weights though. And just like the packaging, the juice inside is equally MASSIVE. Art included too! With a tribute to the Declaration of Independence, by a project that pays homage to the Gold Rush of 1849. Stunning from tip to toe.
Explosive. Hedonistic. Based on our back of the napkin scribbles, the fruit clocks in at ten to the googol power. That’s 10^(10^100) for all you nerds out there. All this to say, this is an absolute beast of a wine packed and stacked with ripe, heady fruit. Blackberry extract, blueberry jam, mocha Frappuccino, sweet oak, and quite an array of red fruits too. It completely envelops every nook of your mouth.
What a score. Will NOT last!
97 points, Double Gold – Sunset International
96 points, Double Gold – San Francisco International
91 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
“Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Declaration has intense blackcurrant cordial, blueberry pie and dark chocolate notes with hints of anise, tar and black earth. Full-bodied, concentrated and packed with berry preserves and spicy layers, it has a chewy backbone and just enough freshness to lift the long, earthy finish. Drink 2017-2023.”
